1. What are Express Reviews?
Express Reviews are short, concise reviews that sum up a reviewer's experience quickly. A single express review would likely not contain enough information for a shopper to make a buying decision. Express reviews are useful to consumers in aggregate. They are used by consumers to backup what they have learned from the reviews.

2. What is the difference between Reviews and Express Reviews?
Reviews and Express Reviews are very similar but they have a few major differences, which are:
  • Length. Express Reviews are at least 20 words and less than 200. Reviews contain more than 200 words.
  • The Bottom Line. Express Reviews do not include The Bottom Line.
  • Visits. Visits are not tracked on Express Reviews.
  • Income Share. Income Share is not distributed to Express Reviews.
  • Rating. Express Reviews are rated Don't Show/Show rather than from Not Helpful to Very Helpful.
  • Placement. In a list of reviews on a product, Express Reviews are always listed after all the Reviews are listed.

3. Are visits tracked on Express Reviews?
No. Since the entire Express Review is displayed in the review list for a product, visits can not be tracked. Epinions is unable to tell which Express Reviews are read.

4. Why is the entire Express Review displayed in the review list?
The entire review is listed in order to make it easier for a shopper to access the information. Since Express Reviews are quite short it would be a bad user experience to require someone to go to another page to access a few additional sentences.

5. Do Express Reviews earn Income Share?
No. Income Share is based on the number of visits to a review by shoppers. Therefore, since visits can not be tracked, Income Share will not be distributed to Express Reviews.

6. How are Express Reviews rated?
Express Reviews are rated simply based on whether it should be shown to a consumer or not.
  • Don't Show: The express review is off-topic, contains profanity or otherwise violates the site rules.
  • Show: The express review is on-topic and does not violate the site rules.

7. Can an Express Review be converted to a Review?
No. After an Express Review is published it can not be converted into a Review. If you edit an Express Review and try to submit more than 200 words, you will receive an error and be unable to save your changes.
