The staff at Epinions has given us permission to allow members to post invitations to their write-offs here. Here are a few things to know about announcing your write off:

1. Don't link to your write-off here. Instead, put the link in your short bio or elsewhere on your profile page and tell people to find it there. It's o.k. to link to your own profile page.

2. Post a short invitation here on this board and, if you wish, on the category specific board explaining the format, purpose, and specific rules/suggestions for your write-off. Please don't start threads on the General Board pertaining to write-offs. Instead contain all chatter about your write-off to your one thread here or on the category specific board. Don't start new threads every time you want to alert people that the deadline is approaching or just that you are really enjoying the entries, etc. Instead, simply post within the thread dedicated to your write off.

3. Don't link to entries here. Since threads with links will be deleted, you may want to remind your participants of this rule in your invitation. Tell them where to send their link and make sure they know they shouldn't post it here.
