HIt Counts
It seems like hit counts were off over the weekend. They still haven't caught up. The total numbers on the review count is showing up lower than the number of ratings. I thought it would correct by now, but it seems it hasn't. Just putting it out there.

You are not wrong. 8 November, nothing increased for me. Not one number shifted. Even now, some of my number are considerably below where they need to be (15 as compared to 39).
I've bugged the one I was watching, and hoping for the best with the rest.
I have maintained that there is a bug in our outside counts, and I hope that when this one is repaired, that one will be as well.

I haven't kept track much but can say that a bunch of my "lost" movie hits have reappeared since the software upgrade so I am happy. But I know what you mean, believe me. ;> |

Quite true. I have trouble believing that my new movie releases are not getting ANY outside hits. Even by accident you could get an outside hit on a new movie review.

I've had quite a few new movie reviews get no or almost no outside hits in the past year or so. It's not every new movie, but a much higher percentage than usual. It happens sometimes anyway, but it's definitely more prevalent recently. |

Actually.....
believe it or not, this last weekend was the 2nd weekend of the month where our hit lag usually occurs in order that they may calculate IS, MPA, MPR,etc..as correctly as possible. At least that's my guess. It's been that way around here since I can remembler. Hope I'm right. |

We are definitely short on views. I believe it was on the 8th that we didn't receive the daily update. Last month there was a day when it was missed too.
Damon, the Epinions engineer, saw the shortage, acknowledged it and was able to update. Hopefully the proper update will be happening in the near future.

I received an error alert over the weekend that hits for the 7th weren't processed (couldn't connect to the db).
I should have this fixed by the end of today or tomorrow. So sometime soon, the hits will get a one-day bump.

Hits from Monday?
Did anyone get their hits updated last night? Mine didn't, and I was wondering if there was a database connection issue again?
