Equipment Wholesalers

I am a E-Commerce web development student looking for wholesalers of band equipment (guitars, amps, PAs, etc.) for a web site. I am pretty serious with this project and hope to pursue it as an actual business in the future. Anyone with links or other resources to obtain information on equipment wholesalers would be greatly helpful. Thank you.

I think some of the big retailers, such as Guitar Center, Musician's Friend and Sam Ash, have commercial departments where they serve large accounts. You might start with them.

I did a quick Google search on "musical equipment wholesaler" and found the following company:

http://www.wholesalemusicwarehouse.com/wholesale/Default.asp

See if that helps you.

not really

To be quite honest, the best way to find distributors in this field is by sourcing this info. I wouldn't recommend the bigger music stores, since they are practically in the same boat you"ll be. Specializing in a certain field of instruments is a great idea also.

Best Place I've Found

The best place I've found is Jackson Music Center in Grand Island NY, They have always hooked me up. The guys that work there are all actual musicians who actually play in bands. They have always beaten every price Ive found. They have a website with a webcam so you can see the gear live on line and get it shipped. I used to go there alot when I was younger. I moved to Chicago but I still use them, They ship from their store(they,re near Buffalo) to wherever I am in the country. Ive been playing for 30 years and they are the best. www.jacksonmusic.com check them out.

RE: Best Place I've Found

This wasn't the question. That is a RETAIL store, not a distributor!
