you get what you pay for
Yes, Bidz does sell cheap items. You have been warned. But they also have name brand jewelry and watches like Vera Wang, Charriol, Bulgari, Salavetti, ESQ, Tourneau, Swatch, Lucien Piccard and other quality pieces. Just read the showcase exactly, because it is very detailed and if you still have a question about something you are intrested in, they have a 24 hour live chat, so your questions can be answered, most of the time, right away. If you are still not sure, you have the option of NOT bidding. And regarding the compare prices, I am sure when you go clothes shopping, they always say a Manufactures suggested retail price (MSRP) on the tags and you NEVER, NEVER actually pay the suggested price, you pay the price the store has on it's own tags. So I guess we are always being scammed by ALL Manufactures as well, because those suggested retail prices are fake as well!!!
I purchased a lot of ESQ Watches (8 to be exact) from Bidz and I have seen the same watches retail on other websites for alot more then what I had won on BIDZ. Yes, they have junky watches, I don't even bother with those. Somwhere, in above posts, there is even a listing of the brands to avoid. Junky watches, you can get anywhere. If you see something, do your homework, check it out on other websites first. Use Autobid, stick with a price that you will not regret paying, and then walk away from the computer. Don't bid at the last second, because you will get caught up. It is like gambling in a way. |

Bidz.com free shipping
With Bidz's free shipping offer you are able to buy 5 gift items and have them shipped Fedex for free. I made 5 purchases on Sunday in the gift category and received one fender and one ESQ watch and both are in perfect condition and arrived in 3 days to Calgary, Alberta, Canada. I am also waiting for 2 more ESQ watches and one sector. As they only ship 3 gift items at a time, my order was handled manually and the items split into 2 shipments.
To get the shipping deal all 5 items must be won and paid for in the same day.
If you buy 5 gift items you will need to go through live help or call to get the order processed manually, otherwise when you check out you will only be able to purchase 3 items on an invoice and shipping charges will apply.
As international shipping through FIMS may take up to 8 weeks according to the Bidz website don't count on any of the other free shipping items to necessarily arrive in Canada before Christmas. This would include non gift items such as regular jewelry and low end watches.
Orders over $300 have been sent through the same shipping method as the gift items, but with the free shipping I don't know if they send them through FIMS or Fedex.
What I don't understand is why all FIMS orders to Canada are postmarked from Malmo, Sweden.
I am still waiting on a FIMS order from Oct 22, 08 and another from Nov 2, 08.
From past experience orders placed through FIMS have generally taken 4 weeks after arriving in Newark, NJ. However, last November I ordered a few Christmas gifts and they didn't arrive until the middle of January due to delays at customs.
Stick to the better quality items and read the terms and conditions, the return policy and the diamond guide before making any jewelry purchases. Also, go to the websites for the watches you are considering purchasing and find out the value and also read consumer reviews before purchase. That way the risk of being disappointed is minimal. |

Thank you!
Thank you for posting this info in regards to bidz online auctions. You are all saving a lot of others from being ripped off. As our parents always told us... if it seems too good to be true it must be.
If you want legit jewelry auctions hsn has them now but it’s a little bit of luck to find exactly what you want.

RE: Bidz.com - Sells Junk via auction
Hi there,
You are one of the lucky ones. The gem in my gold ring was glass and cracked and so I took it in to be valued. It turned out I got jipped big time. It wasn't worth the money I paid. |

Bidz.com free shipping
Just received the 2nd half of my order of gift items and received on Sector watch and 2 ESQ watches.
All are new and in perfect working condition.
I saw the same make and model of the sector watch in a store for 289.99 and the bidz retail price was listed as 285.00. I got this watch for 31.00.
I got 5 watches 3 ESQ and one fender and one sector.
I paid less for all 5 than I would have paid for the one sector if I bought it retail.
My total for all 5 purchases was about 130 USD. With the free shipping that was a good deal. |

Good experiences here
My grandma has purchased a few rings off of Bidz, and they've appraised for around the same retail value listed. Last week she purchased a **gorgeous** diamond ring that retailed for over $6000, and paid about $550 on Bidz. Her local jeweller told her that the center diamond alone was worth over $2k.
I guess you just have to really pay attention to what you're bidding on. |

Re Bidz
I am speaking with plenty of experience when it comes to Bidz. I presently operate an ebay store, which happens to be doing great, where 100% of my merchandise is purchased from Bidz. My first thought when reading your complaints is what did you expect to get when you spend only $50.00 on four watches. 99.9% of my sales, approx 7,000 a month gross is ales of watches, from bidz. True the "retail price" listed on there items in most cases is highly elevated or exaggerated and I definitely have a problem with them advertising that especially to most of there customers that may not know any better. Thankfully I do knowbetter and I would like Bidz to stop this practice. With that said, In my case I have 800+ feedback and it's 100% positive, knock on wood. I am here to tell you that BIDZ is not anything like what most people are saying on Epinions. I have only had a handful of issues with the watches I buy and I have NEVER had one problem returning those items.I have probably spent over 40K within 2.5 years. The folks that are complaining that you've been ripped off or the items were junk basically paid nothing for the items and you expect them to be the best thing you've ever seen. I find thats typical with people trying to get the most for the least amount. If any of the people complaining in here would like to buy a quality item for a fair price then I will show you exactly that with an item I purchased from the big bad Bidz.com. What do you expect to get when you pay $10.00 for a ring or watch, regardless of what's being advertised. Do you think that you have just been in the right place at the right time to actually get a $350.00 watch or ring for $20.00. My advice to you folks is to use your common sense when purchasing anything on-line or anywhere and remember you will NEVER get something for nothing. |

Bidz.com
Hi, I have used this sight over the last couple of months and the first order I got I was disappointed in 2 out of 8 items. I learned really quick what to did on and what not to bid on. I have to agree with the last post you get what you pay for. I try for the brand name and have been very happy. I have had good customer service on the ichat page. I really don't feel scammed |
