RE: Desperate for Ridgeway by Kelty Tent Instructions
I have scanned instructions for the tent in pdf file if someone can tell me how to attach it. I'm still pretty new at this. If my son comes home soon, I'll ask him to help me. Generally here's what you do.
1. lay the tent out.
2. put long fiberglass poles with coners on through top of tent. they attach to long side poles (the blue dot ones). be sure to tie the top of the tent to the criss-cross before you raise the tent.
2. The side two fiberglass poles with corners that are the same size go to the side rooms. they attach to the straight poles with the red dots. Raise them.
3. The other fiberglass pole with the corner goes to the screen part. It attaches to poles with the red dots too.
You can tell the difference in the blue and red dot poles by the sizes, just in case the dots are gone. six will be one length and 4 the other. You'll have to attach the little pins on the rings on the base of the tent to keep the poles in place and hook the hooks around the side of the tent to the poles. then you put the rain shield on if you want to use it. it attaches to the stakes that you put around the side of the tent.
This is just a thumbnail of the instructions. We just used the tent this past weekend.

RE: Ridgeway Denali tent
There is a nice company that sells aluminum & fiberglass tent pole sets and supplies. You can get just the repair part you need, or the entire pole. It will be easier and less frustrating to buy (reasonable) what you need from them, rather that aggravate yourself trying to deal with Kelty. This is what I did. www.questoutfitters.com |

Ridgeway by Kelty extra parts
This was a question asked in another thread - I am consolidating it with the other Ridgeway by Kelty questions in this thread.
blackstoneshan asked ... I recently bought a ridgeway by kelty tent that came with some extra pieces that were not identified in the owners manual. The pieces in question are a triangular piece of netting with hooks on each corner and a white piece of nylon that is not square with the same hooks on each of it's four corners. Can anyone help me with the purpose of these 2 accessory tent pieces? Thank you.

RE: Ridgeway by Kelty extra parts
The triangle cloth part with clips is used to hang from poles overhead to store things you want to keep off the floor or a flashlight to light up tent. |

RE: Ridgeway by Kelty extra parts
White square is a room divider for privacy if needed. It also hangs from poles inside the tent to divide the main room. |

RE: Ridgeway by Kelty Help
Many THANKS to Letty Galland [galland1@sbcglobal.net]for sending the manual and owners instructions.
BTW I did connect with the people in St. Louis to buy a couple of new poles. Only waited 3 minutes and the staff there are really helpful and understand their products.
Their number is 1-800 325 TENT. I called during their normal business hours.
Also wanted to report that the tent worked great in the Ruby mountains of Nevada. Had rain for 3 days and 5 inches of snow on another. Tent stayed dry and upright. Pretty impressive.
