SUNTRUST NSF RIPOFF ARTIST!!!

PLEASE DO NOT OPEN ANY TYPE OF ACCOUNT WITH SUNTRUST BANKS OF FLORIDA!

THEY DON'T BOUNCE YOUR ONE $100.00 CHECK SO THEY CAN COLLECT FOR 7 TO 11 MORE SMALL DEBITS THAT EQUAL UP TO THAT $100.00 TO COLLECT MORE FEES SO THEY CAN MAKE ALL BIG CASH OF SOME POOR UNFORTUNATE SOUL. THEY CLAIMED THE FEDERAL GOVERMENT MAKES THEM COLLECT THEIR NSF FEES IN THE WAY THE TRANSACTIONS COME IN, BUT UNFORTUNATLEY THE FEES DON'T GO TO THE GOVERMENT FOR TAXES. THEY GO RIGHT INTO SUNTRUST BANKS SLUSH FUND.

THEY ALSO HAVE A HIDDEN TACKING OF YOUR ACCOUNTS THAT SHUT DOWN ON THE WEEKEND...DON'T COUNT ON THE WEBSITE BEING ACCURATE!!
PLEASE DO NOT OPEN AN ACCOUNT WITH SUNTRUST AND HELP ME GET MY $330.00 IN NSF FEES BACK IN THE POWER OF A BLOG AND HIT THEM HARD IN THE POCKETS!!! HOPEFULLY THEY GO BANKRUPT SOON...

IM CLOSING MY ACCOUNTS AS SOON AS I GET MY DIRECT DEPOSIT RE-DIRECTED..

NEW WAY THEY DO BUSINESS AFTER 10 YEARS...LOST MY BUSINESS!! AND REPSECT...

SUNTRUST NSF FEES ARE PSYCHO

Don't feel bad, we are now 445.00 in the hole for what actually should have been 2 NSF items, but I was charged for many, many more........this bank simply will not "decline" your card, even if you use debit, so that you don't go over, ohhhh nooooooo, they just keep letting you rack up so that they can RACK up!!! I HATE THIS BANK MORE THAN ANYTHING RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!!

If there is ever a law suit against them, PLEEEEEEEEEASE post it on this site so we can all know and participate!

I AGREE- SUNTRUST CHEATS ITS CUSTOMERS

I am in the same predicament: Suntrust with held funds from me.. without telling me. So I check the website, and I still have money.. so I spend accordingly. Next thing I know I have 210 dollars in fines because of this hold on my account. Now I will incur close to 350 dollars in fines because they charge you every time you go under.. even if you weren't made aware that they are HOLDING YOUR MONEY.

Suntrust has lost another customer today.. and I have been with them for over 10 years as well. They don't even care that the total amount of my overages was less than 100.00-- and mostly due to them. They are charging like crazy for these penalties.

LEAVE SUNTRUST AND MAKE THEM REPENT. Good Customer service.. yeah right.

Lawsuit I agree

All of the American banks are doing this. If you find one that is not engaging in this tactic please make a post. I have tried switching banks to no avail. This has gone way too far. The American banking system is in my opinion now DEFUNCT, and there is no trust in the American banking system, just like our government. And the government is who allows them to do it. I have had to move my deposits overseas in order to keep American banks from stealing my money. Since I have done that I have had no banking problems at all. This is a conspiracy to defraud Americans of their hard earned money that has been legalized by our government. I’m sure there people out there that will disagree with me, but the end results speak for themselves.

SUNTRUST Rip-Off

I think we should sue them!!!! After reading how they have ripped off millions! Who has money to give away, hundreds of dollars!!! We should join together and get something done about this! Enough if enough! Clearing things LARGEST TO SMALLEST is rearranging debits to suit them! Not only that, they don't even reflect that order if you check your purchases online! It is completely crazy and makes no sinces except to create a rotation of funds for banks on a high level!

In the same boat

This is amazing to me that they are doing this to everyone! I own a small business and they overdraft me EVERYDAY! we just found out that year to date they have accumulated $9500.00 in NSF fees! They know what's going to hit by 6am and pick and choose what to pay... whatever gives them the most checks to return... I think everyone should call thier local papers and new stations and have them due an investigation on them.

RE: I AGREE- SUNTRUST CHEATS ITS CUSTOMERS

Hi, I am in exactly the same boat, a hold on my funds resulting in 210.00 in UAF fees. I am currently about to file a small claims action against SunTrust bank. I am also going to file against wachovia for their practice of not declining debit cards when funds are insufficient for the express purpose of running up fees which amount to an interest rate in the thousands of percent. there are many posts on various blogs regarding these practices and there have been some success stories as well. It is expensive for the bank to send an attorney to court, often more than the amount of the claim they are fighting, so they often don't bother, resulting in a victory for the plaintiff. If everyone began filing these claims or got together for a class action suit, I can assure you that there would be a response from the banks. it is in their interest not to let this thing go to court , if they lose, it sets a precedent, and that forms the basis of future judgments, and the party would be over for them in short order. My argument is that if they can verify and put a hold on funds in someone's acount in a matter of seconds when they process a debit card purchase or ATM transaction, then they can certainly clear checks in the same amount of time, espewcially when given all night to do so. This technology is there, they choose not to use it so they can rip us off. Furthermore, a couple of years back I remember reading that there would be no more float time on checks because of the faster processing speeds now possible, it seems they only want to use the technology when it suits them, when they can use it to STEAL OTHER PEOPLE'S MONEY--THE BANKS ARE GOOD FOR LITTLE ELSE. "A DEN OF VIPERS AND THIEVES" according to President ANDREW JACKSON " AND I INTEND TO ROUT TO OUT"
