I own a Toshiba Tecra T9100 which won't boot up. When I hit the power button to start up the power light comes on but nothing else happens, no LCD backlight, no fan or HDD noise, nothing. Is there anything I can do ???

Sometimes however, it has decided to boot up, but then froze and I couldn't move the mouse cursor or even do a ctrl+alt+del for example.

I can't tell for sure from what you have written, but sounds like a dead motherboard or corrupt hard drive. Have you tried to contact Toshiba?

I have a Toshiba Laptop (p35-s611) which, after 3 years of VERY light use, crashed. First the video started streaking the screen vertically. Then it overheated, blue screen of death, hard drive failed. I paid $1800 for this junk. I contacted Toshiba at their Indian service center, then in Irvine California. No satisfaction. Toshiba apparently stonewalls any repair and gives customers poor support.
I RECOMMEND PEOPLE NEVER BUY A TOSHIBA PRODUCT. I KNOW I WILL NEVER AGAIN PURCHASE THEIR PRODUCTS.

THEY SURE TAUGHT ME A LOT ABOUT CORPORATE PRACTICES.
