I have two of these chairs -- one at work, and one at home. People are very different. All lengths, shapes, and sizes. What is perfect for me, might be uncomfortable for you. For me, this chair is amazingly comfortable. The elbow rests, back support, soft seat... all perfect for my body. That is why I bought it.
However, the one I have at work is now over a year old and the "top grain leather" back is brittle, cracked and old looking. Top grain leather from CHINA -- it could be made of anything. My newer one at home still looks fine.
The other major concern for me is that these chairs float on the base. They are not rock solid. To be fair, it seems most all of the big swivel chairs that require assembly are slightly tippy.
A smaller concern is that the padding of the left arm of the one I have at home faces more outwardly so that my left elbow is resting on the metal and not the pad. The one at work has both pads facing up perfectly.
About looks, my wife at home and my manager at work both dislike this chair because it looks too big, but for me no smaller office chair is as comfortable. If I had a choice, I would rather have this in brown leather and copper steel, but such a choice does not exist at this time.
About assembly, it requires two people and is made difficult because the small Allans Wrench provided must be turned with great strength and it cuts into the hand. The tool is too small for the job.
