Pros: Excellent service, clean, large rooms, convenient shopping and walking, moderate price, lobby labrador.
Cons: Uh, can't think of any.
The Bottom Line: I won't look for a different hotel. Great experience, right where any visitor to Boston wants to be.

| gwbs's Full Review: The Fairmont Copley Plaza |
At a business sales meeting in November of 2008, this place is grand. The room was comfortable, very clean. 'Way too much in-room refreshment, very tempting. No room in the 'fridge for anything else that I may have wanted.
The most remarkable element of this hotel was the extremely helpful and courteous service. It was as complete as I could imagine.
The location is perfect for walking in the old part of town, and is very convenient to the subways and busses. It's right next door to the Boston Public Library, an impressive building worth a look (escorted tours are scheduled each day).
Walkable to Boston Common, the original Cheers restaurant, and many other bistros and shoppes just a block away. Newbury Street has at least 6 blocks of shopping. Two blocks away is Commonwealth Avenue, with more than a mile of beautiful walking greenway, and gas lights on its wide sidewalks.
The historic churches, monuments, and government buildings are all within an easy walk.
The hotel itself is not over priced, and has a nice little pub. The meeting rooms are elaborate French-styled decor; the lobby hallways are wide enough for the John Kerry victory party as well as our 150 business meeting.
Sweet dog in the lobby.
