| onabreak2's Full Review: US Postal Service Standard Mail |
Epinions wants to know why I chose this company. I would have to say because it is still by far the cheapest way to get my mail delivered and the only way that I know of personally. Unless I send it overnight mail by UPS , Federal Express or one of the other companies that are in the business of doing this.
No one else can give us the service that the United States Postal Service can, for the price of a stamp. Although I really miss the cheap postage and if the postage keeps going up pretty soon it may be as reasonable to go with another carrier.
The best aspects of this company is that they come to my house and to my work, everyday but Sunday. The postal carrier that comes to my house could not be any nicer. With all the things that I order on line, the things that come by postal service she always brings to my door and leaves them on the front porch for me. She is a very pleasant lady too. Not grumpy at all.
The man that brings the mail and packages to where I work is also very pleasant. He always has a smile on his face, a hellow for everyone and is usually whisteling away. He never complains when he has to haul a heavy package in.
Now unfortunately not all Postal workers are as nice as these two people are. I think that when people have to work with the public they should be required to act respectful and courteous to them. As long as they are being treated the same way. I say that unfortunately not all postal workers are as nice as these two is because the postal workers inside the post office are generally nice but and this is a big but.
There is a lady in our local post office. We call her the bun lady, she is the most unfriendly lady that you could ever meet. She does not try to help andyone and when she has to she is very grumpy and unpleasant. Almost hollers at you. She sits on her stool and will not get off of it. If something requires her to get off her stool she acts all put out. My daughters ex mother in law worked at the post office that I am speaking about and she said that management just kept saying, "IF WE GET ONE MORE COMPLAINT ABOUT HER WE ARE GOING TO GET RID OF HER". Apparently it is not that easy to get someone out once they get in. She is still there and the ex mother in law has left due to stress.
All in all I would have to give the Postal Service A High Recommend. The Bun Lady is the exception to the rule. Thank Goodness. But you have Bun Ladies everywhere and in every job.
By the way, she is called the bun lady because she always has her hair in a bun, just in case you were wondering.
Oh and in case any of you were not aware of this. If you want stamps and you do not want to go to the post office to pick them up, you can always stick a check in the mail in an envelope addressed to Postmaster and you will be delivered the stamps in the mail. Make sure you specify how many stamps you want and if you want self stick.
