I opted for the glider rather than a swing because I thought it would take up less room.  I like that it can rotate to face different directions.  It was fairly easy to put together.  Baby likes it fine if she's sleeping but doesn't really enjoy it much if she's not.  The toys aren't that interesting and the motion is too slow.  I like the music having sleep and play music.

We love this! We placed our baby girl on this from day one. She loves it. Goes to sleep on it right away. The glider really soothes her. At first, we took the arch with animals off because she couldn't really see them and it made getting her in and out easier. Now that she's 6 weeks old, she's starting to interact with the stuffed animals that hang down and smiles/giggles at them as she tries to catch them. This is by far one of our FAVORITE shower gifts. It's everything we wanted/expected and more! Plus, it's really easy to put together and the batteries have lasted a long time - 6 weeks so far and being used daily! GREAT PRODUCT!!! It also gives mom & dad a break from holding the baby :-) Who are we kidding?! It gives you a chance to run to the bathroom! This is a new parent's best friend, especially for dad.

Many people state that it's to heavy, I don't think that it is and I'm a small woman. Make sure to carry it by the handles. The weight with the base makes this seat so sturdy, which was a big factor for us because we have other children and a golden retriever.
The only downfall we find is that it takes batteries, I would recommend getting recharge ones from walmart and using those because it can get expensive to replace if you use it alot.... which you will :)

My daughter loves this glider, and sleeps in it every night. It is the only one that I could find that moves two ways instead of vibrating like most. My problem is that in 3 months we have had to replace 2 of them because they stopped working. My daughter only weighs 11 pounds so that is not the problem. Also the company wants me to pay to return parts to them so they can send me a $66 "voucher" whatever that is even though I spent $80 on it!

This item is Wonderful! I have a newborn, now he's 6 weeks and whenever he falls asleep and I move him to pack n play or crib he only sleeps for a couple of hours. My baby sleeps in the glider for 6-8 hours! Anytime he starts to wake up, the glider rocks him right back to sleep.
It's like magic! This glider rocks side to side like you were doing the rocking and head to toe like you would be pushing stroller. It really helps at 3 am when you want baby to go back to sleep
