I know this is the bottom of the KitchenAid's line and not as sexy as some of the more expensive mixers they make, but I've had this model for over a year and I'm hard-pressed to find anything bad to say about it.

It's been in darn near constant use in the time that I've owned it and it's never had one problem - the casing does get a bit warm when it's kneading bread, but that's normal according to the owner's manual.

When I've called with questions (haven't had a problem yet), the customer service folks have been helpful and wonderful.

This model has a smallish bowl and as such isn't suitable for large batches of anything, so if you're baking for a family of four, you might want to consider the next model up.

Pros: Reliable, quick, easy to clean. Powerful
Cons: HEAVY I advise leaving it on counter.

I have had mine for several years now. I use it almost daily. I bake alot!! I have never had any problems with mine at all. Easy to clean. Mine came with 3 mixing ends.
