Pros: Convenient to LHR
Cons: Not convenient to much more than LHR

I am a Platinum Marriott person - that means a minimum of 75 nights a year.  This is an adequate hotel by Marriott standards.  It is great for late arrivals to or early departures from LHR but it's not terribly worthwhile for anything else.

Because of this there is a constant flow of guests coming and going.  This results in a lower than normal Marriott level of customer care and busy front desk experiences.  Still it's very clean and reasonably quiet for an airport hotel.

The bus service to Terminals 1,2 & 3 is good.  Taxi to Terminal 5 is the best way to go.

Hint, buy your shuttle pass when you check in (if you are staying there before a departure).  That way you get it charged to your room and can put the ticket away for a quick departure.

I have stayed here at least 10 times and the experience is pretty consistent.

Cons: Bad Hoppa experience

Fantastic stay at the Marriott Heathrow. Room absolutely great, fantastic bed and great service. The restaurant staff could not do more to help or be polite.

One cautionary story !! On three occasions my partner and I witnessed the Hoppa driver try to overcharge customers saying that he did not have change for a £10 note so would have to charge the £10. The fare is £4.

On the third occasion my partner stepped in and gave this American lady the £4 in change rather than see her ripped off. So please...book your hoppa tickets at the hotel or make sure you have the right money.

Everything else at the hotel is fantastic and I will certainly use it again. Thank you Marriott.
