The Ups and Downs of the Naturally Playful Woodland Climber

by mmcphee Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 50, Feb 06 '04
Pros: Great for toddlers, not a terrible eyesore, safe and sturdy
Cons: Not enough challenge or interest for preschoolers
The Basics The Naturally Playful Woodland Climber is a large plastic outdoor climbing and sliding toy for your children. The manufacturers suggested age range is 2-8 years. Assembled, the climber is approximately 54” wide, 81” long and ...

the best one I found for my toddler

by nice_cell , Sep 05 '04
Pros: safe, very versatile = keep the interest longer
Cons: still no found.
We bought this climber one year ago for our son of 18 months-old. Excuse my english, it's not my first language) Why we choose this model? Because climbers and slides for young toddlers are really too easy for 18 months-old boy. I was sure than after ...

A good investment.

by shanshanj , Apr 08 '04
Pros: Excellent quality. Multi-functional.
Cons: None I can think of.
I bought this climber for my 13-month old girl 4 days ago from Toys R Us (on sale for $199.99 Canadian dollars). We’re expecting another baby this June so I need something to keep her occupied. Although I'm 6-month pregnant it took me only 20 minutes ...

Great Climber for little ones!

by reesee_piecee , Nov 17 '07
Pros: High walls to help prevent falls, easy to assemble, perfect for toddlers!
Cons: The platform seems like it caves a bit when she jumps (cheap plastic maybe)
We bought this climber as a Christmas present for our 14 month old daughter. Seeing that she doesn't really understand Christmas at her young age we thought it would be ok to set it up early for her. I am so glad we did! She instantly loved it. It ...

Still looks great two years later.

by bookluvinmomma , Jun 09 '07
Pros: Great size for preschoolers & elementary school aged kids.
Cons: It doesn't have any swings or an attachment to add for swings.
This is a great size for our 3 kids (6,4 & 1 1/2). It is big enough so the oldest doesn't get bored and small enough so the baby doesn't get scared. The colors blend well with our house's exterior color scheme which was why we considered this more than ...

Yellowjackets and wasps nest in the holes and slots between product components.
by lsanth ,May 29 '07
Pros: Good size for toddler.
Cons: Dangerous to children. Manufacturer sent 'plugs' shaped for another product - they don't fit.
I bought one of these new for my toddler two years ago (he's now 3) and each summer either yellowjackets or wasps have nested within this product through the 'natural' slots created when assembled. I tried to be creative this year by inserting nonhardening clay in the manufactered holes on the sides - but the insects are still entering through the slots formed between the platform and the sides. The yellowjackets actually set up multiple sentries at each opening. A tree service person I hired simply walked by and was attacked. This product really ought to be recalled. We now haul the thing way back on our property in the summer. Step 2 has been most unhelpful and denied a production problem.
